Melna Piektdiena, or Black Friday in English is the first and one of the few clubs in Riga solely dedicated to a heavy metal rock music. It is located right by the VEF bridge on the territory of an old factory block of the VEF Factory. It has hosted various live acts and pretty big names in the heavy metal workd like Napalm Death, Soulfly.

Direction: Take tram number 6 from Barona street towards Imanta to come out at the stop “Rupnica VEF”, or or trollyebus number 17 towards Purvciems from the Central station and come out at the stop “Rupnica VEF”.
